REAL STRENGTH & CONDITIONING CLASSES FOR ALL LEVELS
SGC classes are more than a workout.
We keep class sizes small so you get real one-on-one coaching time to master barbell technique and proficiency. The main lift of the day rotates through squat, bench, and deadlift, and progresses throughout the month. Paired with accessory work and conditioning to build strength alongside endurance and stamina. Expect your heart rate to climb — jumping, dynamic movement, metcons and more this is true strength and conditioning.
Programming follows a monthly progression: higher reps at lighter weight early in the month, building to lower reps at heavier weight by the end.

Our Story
Strong Gurls Club was born from a pattern we kept noticing — women wanted to lift but didn't feel like the weight room was for them. Fears of getting bulky, self-doubt, harassment, or simply never being shown the way in, too many women were being kept out of a space that will genuinely change their lives. What became clear through conversation was that the barrier wasn't physical, it was the narrative. And the narrative needed to change. Research shows that women who strength train regularly reduce their risk of cardiovascular-related death by 30% ¹ and this isn't just true for women in their 20s. Older women who strength train just 20 to 59 minutes per week see roughly a 29% reduction in all-cause mortality ² — meaning the barbell is one of the most powerful health tools a woman has access to at any age.
Because strength training isn't just about muscle. It builds mental resilience, confidence, and a deeper connection between body and mind. SGC was created to be the space that makes that possible, somewhere women feel encouraged, educated, and supported at every stage of life.
Our vision is simple: normalize strength training for gurls. We're not one gym, we're a movement. SGC's goal is to embed our philosophy into training spaces across New York and beyond, creating environments where every woman, and every individual who identifies as a gurl, regardless of age or background, feels safe, seen, and strong. We believe strength training is a vital tool for confidence, longevity, and self-empowerment and we're here to make sure no woman is ever talked out of picking up the bar.
